The department has established strong links with other Universities abroad. Tel Aviv University, Technion Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel has an exchange program for students and staff, including training programs that has immensely helped the hospital and faculty staff in skills training in Emergency care.

Others include: University of Cape Town, Utah University and local institutions like KEMRI.

The department offers training in the following programmes:-

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery
• Bachelor of Science in Clinical Medicine

The department also offers clinical services to the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital – Department of Paediatrics.
